The Festival which is a brainchild of First Lady Auxillia Mnangagwa is premised on the understanding and belief that people and culture are inseparable as it is the culture that makes up the fabric of any society.
Most people in Africa and Zimbabwe included have generally looked down upon their traditional cultures in favour of western which they normally see on television and magazines among many other platforms.
This festival is seeking among many other things to promote and restore cultural diversity, unite locals, bridge the cultural divide as well as promoting domestic tourism.
On display at the various exhibition stands in Harare Gardens are various traditional foods and beverages, crafts and fabrics, furniture, traditional healers, cultural practices and social activities among many others.
Entrance to the festival is free and there will be lots of entertainment to cater to various needs.
