Hollywood based Zimbabwean actress, Sibongile Mlambo will be participating in the Video Indaba at Hub Unconference.

The Hub Unconference which is part of the annual Shoko Festival will happen from 21st to the 26th of August.

The Video Indaba that Sibongile Mlambo will participate in is scheduled for Saturday the 26th.

Sibongile Mlambo is a Zimbabwean actress based in the United States. She is known for starring in Netflix’s Lost in Space (2018 TV series), the Starz historical adventure television series Black Sails and in films Honey 3 and The Last Face.[1]

She is also best known for her role as Tamora Monroe on the MTV television series Teen Wolf, as Donna on the Freeform television series Siren and voicing Melusi in the Ubisoft multiplayer game Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege.

The Hub Unconference which is in its 8th edition will also see mayors from various towns in Zimbabwe participating in the Mayors Forum.

At this forum, Mayors are expected to highlight challenges they are facing is delivering normal service and also offer the best way forward.

The first female mayor for Kwekwe Councillor Angeline Kasipo is also billed to take part in the forum.

Kasipo made headlines when she declared her allegiance to Nelson Chamisa in the MDC power wrangles. Other councillors have been recalled for doing the same.

Also lined to participate at the Hub Unconference are legislators Prince Dubeko-Sibanda and Settlement Chikwinya.

The two legislators will speak on the state of the internet in Zimbabwe with regards to the incoming cybersecurity Bill.

Zimbabwe is in the process of coming up with the Cybersecurity and Data Protection Bill that will affect how people use the internet and social media.

Parliament is currently ceased with the bill which the government has vowed to fast track.

While the bill contains some positive clauses, some commentators view it as the government’s way of trying to control the narrative on social media.
