Kirsten Lebreux, a buyer from America says she is expecting to use the 15th edition of Sanganai/Hlanganani to reconnect with friends and partners.
The 2022 edition is the first tourism expo to be held physically following Covid-19 which was reported in the country in 2020.
The idea of the physical expo has excited Lebreux who works with an operator that specializes in custom tours.
She said she is going to get as much information to share with colleagues back home after the expo.
‘’Zimbabwe is one of my favourite places in the world and I am so excited at the opportunity to be at Sanganai/Hlanganani to reconnect with old friends and industry partners.
‘’I want to be able to pick as much information as possible and share it with friends and industry colleagues back home,’’ she said.
Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) is planning to take tourism journalists, buyers, and travel trade partners on familiarization trips to different tourism sites across Zimbabwe.
According to economic experts, Zimbabwe has a lot of potential in the tourism sector if it is adequately financed.
Much of the resources are required for destination marketing purposes,s especially in China which is the biggest supplier of outbound tourists to the world.
