POTE Hill Hotel which is located in Zvishavane says it has the capacity to hold its own in so far as hotel business is concerned.

The hotel has about 46 rooms and 5 of which are executive rooms named after minerals which are found in Zimbabwe such as gold, platinum, diamond, and asbestos among others.

In an interview on the sidelines of the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) which started on Tuesday 23 April, company marketing manager Kudzai Nyika said “all our rooms are air-conditioned with Wi-Fi and DSTV.

“In terms of services that we offer we have conference facilities with our biggest conference housing about 300 delegates while our smallest conference room hosts about 30 people.

“We have a restaurant and two bars and a swimming pool for those who want to come and relax and we have recently set up a garden which can be used for corporate functions, weddings or parties,” she said.

Nyika added that their hotel is ideal especially for guests who will be seeking a very quiet place to relax and enjoy their money far from the noises.

“We are unique in that the location of our hotel it’s a very tranquil and very quiet area in Zvishavane far from all the noise in town and our services are top notch we got very qualified chefs as well meaning that our restaurants serve quite a variety of very well prepared meals.

“However, tot many people know about our hotel so we are trying hard to publicise it through various media platforms we have been airing quite a number of adverts as well and we constantly follow up our clients because we would like to know where we are going wrong.

“We are constantly asking for feedback so that we try and fix whatever we are not doing right so that we return our current customer and at the same time actually getting new customers as well,” she said.

Nyika said they have managed to keep their hotel and food rates at lower prices than being charged others owing to their association with supermarkets and wholesales who feed into it.

“Price increases have an effect on operations but the advantage that we have as Pote Hill Hotel is we are a group of companies and within the group we have supermarkets and wholesales so all these entities feed into the hotel.

“And we also have a farm which provides us with other produce for the hotel and that ensures we keep our rates low,” she said.

The hotel said it is exhibiting at the 2019th edition of ZITF to gain visibility and learn from others as well as to interact with potential customers both new and old.

The company also revealed that it is working on expanding its hotel venture into other various towns and cities in the country. “We are in the process of expanding by end of year you will hear about Pote Hotel in other towns in Zimbabwe.-
