Fastjet gets additional frequencies approvals

FASTJET Zimbabwe has revealed that is has been approved to add more frequencies to their current and new international routes network

In a statement, Fastjet Zimbabwe Accountable Manager Ed Berry said they are pleased by the gesture from the Ministry for Transport and Infrastructural Development to grant them the approval adding that it will enable the airline to continue their plans.

“We are grateful for the positive response from the Ministry which enables the airline to continue with their plan to expand their network, contributing to the development of business and leisure tourism to and from Zimbabwe.

“There is much work to be completed before the new and additional flight operations commence, this includes fulfilling additional requirements as prescribed in the Bilateral Air Service Agreement for the new international routes.

 “We can assure the public that, as a proudly Zimbabwean airline, we are delighted to be able to provide these services to the people of Bulawayo, Matabeleland and Zimbabwe,” he said.

Fastjet connects Zimbabwe by flying between Harare and Victoria Falls and Harare and Bulawayo. They also offer flights from Harare and Victoria Falls to Johannesburg in South Africa.

The airline also operates branded domestic flights in Mozambique, using Embraer E145, a 50-seater aircraft operated by Solenta Aviation Mozambique.

Together with LAM, as part of a codeshare agreement, and Solenta, fastjet flies from Maputo to Tete, Beira and Quelimane. Fastjet has flown over 3 million passengers and has established itself as a punctual, reliable, and affordable value carrier.
