The new cups will be used on regional flights for the service of both hot and cold in-flight beverages.

In a statement on its website, Fastjet Zimbabwe said the cups were subjected to trials for a number of weeks to ensure compatibility, suitability, and that all critical performance checks were completed.

Fastjet Zimbabwe spokesperson Nunurai Ndawana said, “More than an environmental contribution, as a key player in the tourism industry, these cups are a celebration of the beauty and wonders of Zimbabwe.

‘’We are proud to operate regional flights to Zimbabwe, connecting visitors to beautiful Zimbabwe, be it flying to Bulawayo, Harare and Victoria Falls,” said Ndawana.

Airline’s business chief executive officer and country head Donahue Cortes, added, “Together with our partners, we continue to focus on building a sustainable airline.

‘’The introduction of our new environmentally friendly cups reflects our commitment to preserving the environment in which we operate”.

“Each cup carries a famous quote that suitably describes Zimbabwe, a country of vast beauty that is a must-visit for all, which us as fastjet Zimbabwe, are delighted to fly you to these breathtaking landscapes”, said Cortes.

Fastjet Zimbabwe is an African airline that began flight operations in 2015, and today, connects three major cities in Zimbabwe by flying between Harare & Victoria Falls, as well as between Harare & Bulawayo.

In addition, the airline offers international flights from Harare, Bulawayo & Victoria Falls to Johannesburg in South Africa, from Victoria Falls to Mbombela (Kruger), Nelspruit, Mpumalanga in South Africa and between Harare and Gaborone.
