I am not after mbingas, I just want to be loved
Musician Vimbai Zimuto

Musician Vimbai Zimuto says she is not into mbingas (rich and well to do blessers) but only needs someone who will love her and understand her type of art.

She said her former boyfriend was not comfortable with her attending parties where she would interact with the mbingas.

Zimuto said that is what led to the breaking down of the relationship.

In an interview on Magamba TV’s Take Down, she said if she was into mbingas she could have built a house in in the leafy suburb of Borrowdale Brooke.

“I have to have somebody who understands that I will interact with mbingas and still leave and come back to him. That person needs to understand that if I was a person who is into mbingas, then I would have built a house in Borrowdale Brooke a long time ago.

“I just want someone who loves me, I want to be loved and I want to love somebody, I need to feel that you are there for me and I am there for you,” she said.

The artist is often regarded by some as being controversial said she just want someone with goals in life and then they can work on those goals together.

“Money we can work for it together.

“If I see that you have goals and have a skill, then we can push that skill and before you know it we would have built something.

“Brick by brick you and me building our house,” she said.

Vimbai Zimuto rose to stardom following the release of her song hapana kwaunoenda and then her nudes which circulated on social media.

The musician says the pictures which have been condemned by several people are her way of expressing herself artistically.

She says people are now accepting her art because they have taken time to understand it unlike in the first days.
