Mana Pools National Park currently unreachable

Elephant in Zimbabwean National parks have killed 130 people due TO CITES restrcitions

Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management (Zimparks) has advised tourists that Mana Pools National Park is currently unreachable due to extensive damages caused by rains in the Zambezi Valley.

The rains have caused extensive damaged to access roads major infrastructure such as bridges making difficult to access.

Mana Pools national park is one of the top safari tourism facilities in Zimbabwe with a huge population of elephants and other animals.
In a statement, Zimparks advised tourists not to go the national park until further notice.

Those with confirmed bookings for March and April have been advised to contact Zimparks for assistance.

Zimparks informs it’s valued clients and stakeholders that Mana pools national park has been severely impacted by the recent heavy rains in the Zambezi valley ,which have caused significant damage to key infrastructure including major access roads , the destruction of part of Rukomechi Bridge, and the access road soon after crossing Runese River. As a result moast routes into the park are currently impassable.

Clients with confirmed bookings for March to April 2026 are urged to contact th Zimparks bookings office for assistance with alternative arrangements including rescheduling or credit notes where applicable.

Walk-in self driving visitors are strongly advised to avoid travelling to Mana pools national park until further notice .
