Zim to host UNWTO media training

Zimbabwe which is promoting its Meetings Incentives Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) tourism has received a major boost as it is set host the UNWTO Communication, Media and Tourism Training.

The training is set for the 13-15 of November in the resort town of Victoria Falls.

In a statement, the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) highlighted that the hosting agreement has been signed.

“Zimbabwe Tourism Authority Chief Executive, Ms Winnie Muchanyuka, signed a hosting Agreement with the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) Secretary General Zurab Pololikashvili, for hosting the UNWTO Communication, Media and Tourism Training in Africa Workshop on 13 – 15 November 2023 in Victoria Falls.
“The workshop will see the convergence of all the members and affiliates to the UNWTO Regional Commision for Africa in Victoria Falls,” read the statement

According to MICE experts, Zimbabwe has a lot of MICE potential which is untapped.

Currently Zimbabwe has various facilities that can host conferences and exhibitions around the country
