Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) has embarked on an ambitious quality management system certification ISO 9001/2015.
ISO 9001:2015 is usually taken by organisations that need to demonstrate their ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements and enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system.

In a statement, ZTA acting chief executive Givemore Chidzidzi said the efforts to get the certification are evidence of commitment to improve efficiency and delivery.
‘’As ZTA, we have taken it upon ourselves to embark on a journey that is a bit ambitious but is attainable.
‘’We are going to the process of ISO Certification for which we appointed a project team which has gone through some training with the Standards Association of Zimbabwe (SAZ) to train for the ISO 9001/2015 quality management system.
‘’This is in a way our commitment to improve efficiency in the organisation and to improve the delivery and we are looking at transforming this organisation into one that is going to deliver to our mandate, to the satisfaction of our principals and the satisfaction of the nation,’’ he said.
ZTA is charged with managing and marketing the country’s tourist attractions to the world.
