Fastjet Zimbabwe has increased its fleet capacity through the introduction of an Airbus A320, which will operate on its Victoria Falls–Johannesburg and Harare–Johannesburg routes, improving connectivity for business and leisure travellers while supporting tourism, trade and investment.
Writing on its Facebook page, the company said ‘’Today in Victoria Falls, we officially welcomed the Airbus A320 to our August and September Flying Program!
‘’The A320 will operate on the Victoria Falls–Johannesburg and Harare–Johannesburg routes, bringing more comfort and capacity to these key routes,’’ the airline said.
Commenting on the development, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure Development said the coming in of the Fastjet Airbus A320-200 is a major milestone to the country’s aviation sector.
‘’Zimbabwe’s aviation sector has reached another significant milestone with the arrival of the Fastjet Airbus A320-200 at Victoria Falls International Airport today, marking another step in Government’s commitment to strengthening regional connectivity and driving economic growth.
‘’The introduction of the Airbus A320-200, with a capacity of up to 168 passengers, will enhance Fastjet Zimbabwe’s operations through daily flights on the Harare–Johannesburg and Victoria Falls–Johannesburg routes, improving connectivity for business and leisure travellers while supporting tourism, trade and investment.
